Slight variations in size, construction, thickness, and color may be present due to the hand-dyed, handwoven nature of each Flatloom® piece. These variations are true marks of their handwoven and artisanal quality, and are not to be mistaken as faults or defects. Our rugs undergo stringent quality control standards before our master artisans personally mark each rug with their name.
Flatloom® rugs are produced with eco-friendly, AZO-free dyes. Some AZO dyes are restricted in the EU and other regions due to health and environmental concerns. Our AZO-free alternatives are safer for children and sensitive skin, better for the environment, and comply with EU REACH and OEKO-TEX® safety standards.
Our quality wool is naturally hypoallergenic — its high-crimp, lanolin-rich fibers naturally repel dust mites, inhibit bacterial growth, and help regulate indoor moisture. The use of natural materials also means a purer, non-toxic composition—free from synthetic fibers and microplastic shedding.
Select a space and one of our five standard rug sizes to see a suggested placement. Every room is unique; use these guides as a visual starting point.
Size 1 is well suited to twin beds and compact bedrooms. It may also work with some double beds when a lighter rug presence is preferred; confirm the intended exposure at the sides and foot of the bed.
Flatloom® rugs are designed with care in our studio in Manila, and are handcrafted in small batches by our partner artisans in India. Our commitment to natural and renewable materials allow our rugs to exhibit an unreproducible look, tactility, material resilience, safety, and sustainability that speak of the intentionality of our brand and patrons.
More than a collection of rugs, Flatloom® was conceived to be a curated and focused experience — one that honors craftsmanship, elegance, simplicity, and sustainability, setting a new standard for quality and truly intentional living.
From our artisan workshops to the materials we use, every stage of our production is internationally certified and held to rigorous standards for integrity, environmental responsibility, and social care — ensuring each rug is made with intention, respect, and longevity in mind.
